AC Milan's veteran skipper Paolo Maldini has praised the work ethic of the club's new loan signing David Beckham.The England midfielder is in Dubai with the rest of the Milan squad after joining the team on a short-term deal from the Los Angeles Galaxy and took part in his first training session with his new team-mates on Monday.

MILAN - Ronaldinho welcomes the arrival of David Beckham positively: "I am very happy about the arrival of Beckham. He can help us win," the Brazilian said. The Spice Boy will arrive on loan until 8 March: "If he does well he should stay for more than three months," he added to radio stadion 'Rede Bandeirantes'. "I am still adapting to Italy, but right now things are going very well. The objective - Ronaldinho concluded - is to do all I can for Milan and make myself available to the Seleçao. I hope to be among the best for many years."

I'm in the most important club in the world and I don't feel the desire to leave and try new experiences because I have everything I need here," said the Milan midfielder. "I want to keep on winning. Football is a sport where you always need to have fun, improve, and win. There are trophies up for grabs each year and it's up to us to out there and get them," the 29-year-old continued, and he also revealed his secret to remain at the top, as well as paying tribute to two important coaches in his career: "My secret? I've always watched videotapes of the greatest players and I also had the luck of playing alongside one of them, Andrea Pirlo, who gave me some excellent advice. Then you need talent and hard work during training. The turnaround in my career coincided with moving to the center of the midfield, in front of the defence, and in the middle of the action. Thanks to Mazzone and Ancelotti, the two most important coaches I've had."
