"WE HAVE TO GET BACK WINNING"

MILAN – Here’s what players and management had to say after Milan-Bologna this afternoon at the San Siro:
MASSIMILIANO ALLEGRI"We played well enough in the first twenty minutes and then we made a few too many mistakes and that’s where we conceded. After that the team reacted well and put in a good second half. We equalized and came close to the win. It’s disappointing that we’ve dropped five points at home in the last 2 matches. Emanuelson has to improve a lot in the defensive phase of the game but he gives the team different options.I’m disappointed for the decision that went against us. We’ve been unlucky this year with the referee’s assistants. It was the right time to make the changes when I made them.I think El Shaarawy has done well until now and so has maxi Lopez but the players that took to the field were capable of playing a good game.Wednesday will be another tough game as Genoa will come here with real anger and a need to put points on the table. We’ll have to play a good game.”
IGNAZIO ABATE
"We have to keep believing because history has shown that titles can be won or lost on the last day of the season. We have five matches left and we have to recharge our batteries because it’s still up for grabs. Cassano can give us a lot in these last matches, he’s a great champion. A great team shouldn’t get attached to singular episodes in game; otherwise you won’t get any points.”
URBY EMANUELSON
"We’re not happy because we had to win this game. When I came on I tried to help the team and I did well as a full back but the end result isn’t a good one. We needed a bit of luck with all the chances we created. I don’t know what happened today but there are some days when things just don’t go the way you want them to. Now it’s become a bit easier for Juventus because they’re playing after us and that helps. Wednesday’s game is now more important than ever. We have to win against Genoa in what’s now a difficult moment. We can play better than we did today.”MASSIMILIANO ALLEGRI (Press conference)
"We conceded a goal from a ball lost in the middle of the field and then we stopped playing together. But it was a good second half, we got the equalizer with 10 players on the pitch and the team did everything possible. No one thought we would get a single point from two home games but now we have to think about Wednesday’s game, get back to winning ways at home and after that we’ll see. Emanuelson was a good substitution. We played well enough for the first 20 minutes then after Bologna scored, we got bottled up. When Cassano came on we did well as did he but he still hasn’t got 90 minutes in his legs. Pato has never been available this year. The midfielders have done well this season to score the goals that should be coming from the two strikers. We made mistakes very close to the penalty area in the first half then in the second half we created a lot of chances, we equalized and we came close to getting the winner as well.I put on Aquilani to get some quality in the middle of the field. I played Robinho because he trained well this week and I thought he could put in a good performance. Ibrahimovic, like all the others, played better in the second half than in the first. We shouldn’t think that everything is lost because even if Juventus win tonight, there are still five matches left and anything can happen in football. There’s no point talking about refereeing decisions. Let’s say we’ve been unlucky with the referee’s assistants. Thiago Silva is almost back as is Boateng.”

A BITTER DRAW

MILAN - Milan-Bologna ends 1-1, but it’s a tough pill to swallow for the Rossoneri who especially in the second half deserved much more. Ibrahimovic got twenty fourth goal of the season and it really should be the twenty fifth. On 13’ in the second half, he scored a goal ruled out for an inexistent offside.Milan took to the field to warm up with the players wearing the number 25 shirt with the name Morosino on the back in memory of Piermario Morosino. The stadium sound system also played the Ligabue track, “Un Giorno Di Doloro Che Uno Ha”, one of the player’s favourite songs. The game started after a minute’s silence.Milan looked dangerous after less than a minute with Ibrahimovic bringing a save out of Agliardi from just under 30 meters. Milan dominated the opening 15 minutes with it was on the quarter hour mark that Seedorf found Ibra in the box but the Swedish striker’s shot ended just wide. Bologna got better as the game went on and on 26’, Milan got the sucker punch. Van Bommel lost the ball in his own half and Diamanti fed it through to Ramirez who beat Abbaiti for the opening goal. Milan tried to react immediately. Robinho put a dangerous ball in the area but Nocerino just couldn’t get to it The Rossoneri had all the possession but it was Bologna who made themselves the more dangerous through Mudingayi who broke forward on the counter attack but hit his shot wide. The first half ended with a single minute of stoppage time.Milan started the second half with real aggression and purpose. Three chances for the Rossoneri in the first three minutes, the first from Seedorf, saved by Agliardi, then Robinho whose shot from distance went wide and finally through Nocerino whose left footed shot failed to find the target. On 11’, Cassano made his way onto the pitch for Seedorf and only 2 minutes later, it was the man from Bari who Put Ibrahimovic through. The striker managed to get it over the advancing keeper but the goal was wrongly ruled out for offside. A minute later it was Robinho who warmed up the keeper’s cloves with a sharp shot. Cassano kept pushing and tried to find Ibra in the box but his ball was just too long. On 21’, it was Ibra to set up Cassano but the keeper did enough again. No goal yet and on 36’ Bonera gets his marching orders after a second yellow card. Ibra had another chance on 41’ but it was just wide. Finally on 90’, Emanuelson’s cross finds the Swedish forward at the far post and he managed to direct it past the keeper. The referee gave four minutes of stoppages, but despite frantic efforts from the team including shots from Nocerino and Robinho, it ended 1-1 at the San Siro.
