AS Monaco midfielder Jerko Leko remains a target for Chelsea.
Blues boss Carlo Ancelotti has been tracking Leko since his days in charge of AC Milan.
Ancelotti fancied Leko as cover for Michael Essien during the January market and remains keen on the ball-winning midfielder.
The Mirror says a move for Leko in the summer is on as Chelsea plan an overhaul of their ageing squad.
Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis has dismissed concerns of losing Marek Hamsik to Chelsea in the summer.
Blues boss Carlo Ancelotti is keen on the Slovakia international, who he regards as a younger version of AC Milan star Andrea Pirlo.
But De Laurentiis said: “He won’t be going anywhere, as contracts are not just bits of paper. Obviously if Inter were to offer me 60m Euros, then we could sit down and talk.
“We have no reason to sell, as our balance sheets are positive. Don’t forget when I took over at Napoli, we didn’t even have a chair.”
AC Milan star Alexandre Pato has dropped a big hint he'd fancy a move to Chelsea.
Brazil striker Pato, 20, has been a long-term target for Chelsea chief Carlo Ancelotti – who worked with him at the San Siro.
Pato was linked with a move to Stamford Bridge last summer and has given a clear hint over a move to England.
He told the Daily Star: “I follow English football a lot and Ancelotti, the coach who brought me to Milan, is in England now at Chelsea. I love London.”
However, Ancelotti will be forced to fight off competition from Spanish giants Real Madrid who are also interested in the Brazilian superstar.
Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini is excited about facing Carlo Ancelotti's Chelsea today.
The pair played together for Italy, while they also crossed swords as Mancini took charge of Inter and Ancelotti was with AC Milan.
Mancini told City's website: "Carlo's a good friend of mine, we played together for the national team many times. I played against him in Italy for 15 years as well. He's a good man, a good manager and he certainly has a strong team to look after.
"We didn't think about the future back when we played, but he knows a great deal about football. Like me he played at the top level for many years, and he won many medals in Italy
"With that and all the times he played for the national side, he picked up plenty of good experience that he is using now as a manager. When we were in the Italian squad, we both talked and thought a lot about the game before we played.
"It will be another tough game, they are a top team and we need to concentrate like we did against Liverpool. If we play like we did at times against Stoke as well, then we have a chance but we must take our chances to score when they happen. We must be positive."
Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti insists their Champions League first-leg defeat at Inter Milan is no great setback.
Inter must go to Stamford Bridge for the second-leg defending a 2-1 lead.
Ancelotti saw enough from the match at the San Siro to be confident for the second leg.
"I think that what we saw tonight, we have the chance to turn it around," said the Blues boss, former coach of Inter's city rivals AC Milan. "I think we played well. We leave without a positive result, but it's not an ugly one either.
"We will play to attack and win the second leg in the same way we did in this game.
"We tried to attack and score from the first to the last minute."
The agent of Branislav Ivanovic isn't surprised by his success at Chelsea.
The Serbia international defender has become a first-choice at Chelsea this season under Carlo Ancelotti.
Vlado Borozan told TMW: "His success was what we expected, given that Ancelotti would have liked him at AC Milan.
"The boy had no place under (Phil) Scolari, but very slowly he has done well enough to now become irremovable."
Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti says the Premier League is FAR BETTER than the Serie A.
Ancelotti reckons he has never had to work harder to get his team to the top of a league table.
Ancelotti said: "The Premier League is now much better than Serie A. In Italy there are only three teams - Roma, Inter and AC Milan. In England it is much more competitive. It is not just the top four, Tottenham, Aston Villa, Everton and Manchester City can also beat you.
"We would like to win the Champions League with Chelsea because it is a competition the club have never won. But for me and for the club, I don't think it is more important than the championship."
Fulham boss Roy Hodgson sees Chelsea being too strong for former club Inter Milan tonight.
Hodgson knows first-hand the passion generated by Inter fans on European nights but is confident the Chelsea players can handle the atmosphere.
He said: "The good thing is Chelsea have a lot of experience and every one of their players will have played there before, I'm sure. For Carlo Ancelotti it's a return home.
"The tie sees the best Italy have to offer and one of England's best teams. There is a belief the Premier League is better than Serie A but it's dangerous to say this league is behind that league.
"If you can pan out all the teams in a league and work out how number 12 in Italy would do against number 12 in England it might be easier...but with the very top teams in any of the big European leagues there is very little to choose between them.
"We saw that last week with AC Milan and Manchester United. It took United a while to get going and they needed a couple of great goals to win the match.
"Inter are a stronger team than Milan, I don't think anyone would question that. For Chelsea the task of going to San Siro and playing a really strong team is one that will test them."
AC Milan coach Leonardo is backing Chelsea to defeat Inter tonight in their Champions League clash.
Leonardo admits his relationship with Carlo Ancelotti means he will be supporting the Blues at the San Siro.
“I am very tied to Ancelotti. I have been one of his partners in crime for a long time,” Leonardo explained.
“I support Carlo, but nothing more. If an Italian side goes through, we will all be happy, but it could always be Fiorentina who pass the round together with us…
“It's not a special kind of support against Inter, it really isn't.”
Chelsea have been warned they will have to break the bank to land Borussia Dortmund defender Neven Subotic.
<!--break-->
The Sun says Blues boss Carlo Ancelotti wants Borussia Dortmund's Serb centre-back, 20, as the linchpin of his defence for years to come. But he faces stiff competition from Manchester City and AC Milan.
Subotic's agent Stephen Kelly said: "It will take a hell of a lot of money to get Neven. He's happy with his new four-year contract. It's a bloody good one, too."
Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti says his record against Inter Milan coach Jose Mourinho is "level".
The former AC Milan boss spent much of the last two seasons sparring with Inter counterpart Mourinho, but insists he greatly respects the self-styled 'Special One'.
"We're level," Ancelotti told La Stampa. "In the derby last year, we won 1-0 in the first leg and it was 2-1 to him in the return.
"Jose is a great coach who I respect a lot. I know what he has given to Inter and I know what he left Chelsea: even the coat that is in the club's museum. But the match won't be about us. It will be about the players."
Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti says he is prepared to face old foe Jose Mourinho and Inter Milan in the Champions League next week.
The former AC Milan boss is set to lock horns with his rival who he has had a troubled past with but believes things are back to normal and he is looking forward to an enormous clash.
“We start all square," Ancelotti told an Italian newspaper. "I think about the derby last season: 1-0 in the first leg and 2-1 in the return.
“Jose is a great coach who I respect a lot. I know what he has given to Inter and I know what he has left at Chelsea, even his coat in the club's museum. But it is not about us, it is about the players. It is a 50-50 match - a bad draw for both teams. But in the league, I am envious of Inter - I would like to have their lead."
Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti isn't afraid of laying down the law to his players.
The Italian boss benched Ronaldinho when he was in charge of AC Milan because of the Brazilian superstar's bad habits away from the pitch.
Skipper John Terry is out of today's FA Cup clash with Cardiff as he is in Dubai for crunch talks with his wife.
Ancelotti said: "When I see that a player's personal life is affecting their professional life, I will act.
"When that happens, it's a problem for me. It didn't affect us at Everton - we played badly and deserved to lose.
"I haven't spoken to Terry since he left. I spoke with him after Everton to tell him to rest for a few days. It was my decision to give him time off.
"He'll come back stronger. He needed to have some days recovery."
Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez is being linked with AC Milan.
Leonardo took over from Carlo Ancelotti last summer and after some encouraging results before Christmas, Milan have struggled in recent weeks, including a 2-0 derby loss to Inter.
Milan face Manchester United in the Champions League next week which will see DavId Beckham take on his former club.
With city rivals Inter almost certain to retain their Serie A crown, there is growing pressure on Milan to win the Champions League.
The Italian giants have faced Benitez twice in the final of the competition with the Spaniard delivering the trophy to Anfield in 2005 before Milan gained their revenge two years later.
But as MIlan prepare for the visit of United, Benitez - also wanted by Juventus - and former Tottenham manager Juande Ramos, recently sacked by CSKA Moscow, have been touted as possible successors to Leonardo.
Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti says he wants to replicate the success of AC Milan at Stamford Bridge.

The proud Italian is ready to extend his empire across the whole of Europe, after quelling the troublesome Gallic hordes of Arsenal at the weekend.
He explained: "Caesar's phrase comes to mind when I think of what has happened this season. I have come to England, seen what it is like and, before I leave, I want to conquer the FA Cup, the Premier League and the Champions League.
"I have not lost my sense of humour since coming here. In England it rains every day but still people sometimes tell me it is a beautiful day. That's when I tell them about Julius Caesar, who spent so much time in Britain yet, in the end, opted to move back to the Amalfi coast in Italy.
"But I am not in any hurry to leave. The competition here is very strong and it is not going to be easy. I would compare Manchester United with Inter Milan, Arsenal with Roma and Manchester City with Fiorentina.
"But I want to pair Chelsea with my old club, AC Milan. If we can match some of Milan's past achievements, that would not be at all bad."
AC Milan are ready to admit defeat in their long-term pursuit of Edin Dzeko.
Milan tried unsuccessfully to land the Wolfsburg striker last August and made enquiries again during last month's winter market.
However, Milan sources now say they're ready to drop their pursuit due to pressure from Chelsea.
With Chelsea's transfer ban now scrapped, it's emerged that Blues owner Roman Abramovich and Carlo Ancelotti have discussed moving for the Bosnia international at the end of the season.
Those close to the player say he will decide his future by April.
