Beckham: AC Milan can beat Man Utd

AC Milan can beat Manchester United, insists United icon David Beckham.

Beckham returns to Old Trafford on Wednesday with AC Milan for the second leg of their Champions League match and is confident of overturning the 3-2 first leg defeat.

Beckham, who played only the last 20 minutes of Milan’s 0-0 draw against Roma on Saturday night, said: "We can win there. Getting two goals at Old Trafford will be hard but it’s not impossible. We will be focused. It will be a very emotional night for me."

AC Milan playmaker Pirlo says Roma draw was two points lost

AC Milan midfielder Andrea Pirlo feels they should've beaten Roma on Saturday night.

In the end, the match finished in a frustrating 0-0 stalemate for both teams.

“We lost two points. It was a game we could have and should’ve won,” said Pirlo.

“We put in a strong performance and it’s a real shame we weren’t able to bring home the victory.”

Roma coach Claudio Ranieri believes AC Milan can dump Manchester United out of the Champions League.

After last night's 0-0 draw, Milan now go to United needing to overturn a 3-2 deficit.

Ranieri said: “Milan have players of such quality who pass the ball around with one or two-touch football, so it's not easy to keep up with them. I sincerely wish them all the best to achieve an incredible result in Manchester.”

AC Milan winger Mancini: I owe it all to Roma

AC Milan winger Amantino Mancini says he owes his career to Roma.

The Brazilian enjoyed his best football with the Giallorossi before leaving for Inter Milan.

Mancini said: "In the capital, things were very good - there I made my story as a footballer, I gave it my best and went from an almost unknown to becoming an important player.

“I cannot help but thank Roma, because they granted me the opportunity to show off in Europe.”
